Nova Pioneer is looking for a rockstar Post School Prep (PSP) Content and Development Senior Associate to be part of the Post School Success Platform team, ready to start in January 2026. This role is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will work remotely and in our Tatu City Precinct campuses.

ABOUT NOVA PIONEER

Nova Pioneer is a pan-African network of schools reimagining education to develop innovators and leaders who will shape the future. With campuses across Kenya and South Africa, we deliver rigorous, values-driven learning that equips students with the skills, mindsets, and confidence to thrive in a rapidly changing world.  We are extending this impact through blended digital and in-person programmes that help young people thrive after school

ABOUT THE POST-SCHOOL SUCCESS PLATFORM

Africa has the world’s youngest, fastest-growing population and a looming employment gap. In Kenya alone, 67% of youth aged 15–34 are unemployed, and most secondary graduates lack structured support to navigate tertiary study, employment, or entrepreneurship. Nova Pioneer created the Post-School Success Platform (PSSP) to close this gap. PSSP is a blended online-offline ecosystem that acts as a “cockpit and coach” for youth, curating and connecting fragmented career, university, and entrepreneurship resources into one guided pathway.

Through three interlinked programmes—Post School Prep (PSP) for students, The Graduate Platform (TGP) for alumni, and the Innovator Pathway (IP) for young entrepreneurs—PSSP combines an AI-enabled Success Coach with in-person seminars, Graduate Summits, and the African Innovation Olympiad. Over its first three years, PSSP will pilot and scale to 25,000+ members, build a pan-African community, and generate sustainable revenue, positioning Nova Pioneer as a leader in preparing Africa’s youth to thrive beyond school.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The PSP Content and Development Senior Associate will design, script, and produce engaging digital learning content that helps learners reflect, plan, and act on their goals. Working closely with the Post-School Success team, you’ll transform Nova’s current in-person and slide-based materials into interactive digital modules and micro-learning experiences.

You’ll be part of the core founding team creating the first version of the PSSP, combining storytelling, learning design, and creative media formats that speak to how young people learn today. This is a project-based role (initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance, funding, and programme needs).

Key Output: Weekly PSP modules and session kits shipped on schedule; content correctly tagged and versioned; <1% publishing errors; basic engagement snapshots shared each sprint; learner and facilitator feedback incorporated into the next release.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Content Strategy & Engagement

  • Translate existing PSS curriculum and frameworks into learner-centered digital modules.
  • Create scripts, storyboards, and outlines for interactive lessons, short videos, and reflection activities.
  • Localize content to reflect African learner realities — culture, language, and context.
  • Research and integrate real-life case studies and success stories relevant to post-school journeys.
  • Collaborate with the Product Designer to ensure content aligns with UX/UI flow and engagement patterns.
  • Support the PSP programmes manager in the running of the PSP camps, particularly from the standpoint of a content expert.

Production & Quality

  • Draft learner-facing copy and visuals with clarity, warmth, and motivational tone.
  • Work with video producers or illustrators to bring content to life through micro-videos, animations, or infographics.
  • Apply principles of universal design for learning (UDL) and accessibility.
  • Conduct learner testing and use feedback to refine and iterate content.

Collaboration

  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to test content integration in the platform MVP.
  • Work with the PSS team and school-based facilitators to ensure digital content complements in-person experiences.
  • Participate in content review and QA processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and tone.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in content design, instructional design, or learning development, ideally in EdTech, youth development, or employability programs.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills — able to turn abstract concepts into relatable, engaging content.
  • Basic familiarity with digital learning tools (Google Slides, Figma, Articulate Rise, Notion, or similar).
  • Understanding of learning principles, especially for Gen Z and young adult audiences.
  • Creative eye for tone, pacing, and visual communication.
  • Mission-driven mindset and genuine interest in supporting young Africans’ post-school success
  • Learner-centered thinking: You design for engagement, not just information.
  • Creativity & innovation: You bring fresh ideas for how learning can feel modern and relatable.
  • Adaptability: You thrive in fast-moving, evolving projects.
  • Collaboration: You co-create easily across design, product, and education teams.
  • Empathy: You understand youth challenges and communicate with authenticity.
  • Practical, detail-oriented executor who can organise work and follow through.
  • You are an excellent written and verbal communicator, able to simplify complex ideas, inspire action, and represent Nova Pioneer externally.
  • You have strong project management skills. You are able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines and targets.
  • You understand best practices for youth safeguarding, data privacy, and responsible AI, ensuring ethical implementation of programmes and technology.
  • You thrive in start-up or early-stage environments; able to pivot quickly, manage risk, and deliver under tight timelines.
  • You have a heart and belief in the African continent and are keen to shape young minds of innovators and leaders.
  • You resonate deeply with our mission and culture principles in developing the next generation of innovators and leaders
