Nova Pioneer is looking for an exceptionally solutions-minded, results-driven Dean of School Operations to support the School Leader by overseeing all operational functions necessary to run an exceptional Nova Pioneer school. In addition to ensuring the day-to-day smooth operations of the school, this role has responsibilities relates to budget management, procurement, regulatory compliance, extra murals, and academic operations support. The Dean of School Operations manages school-based operations and facilities staff, reports to the School Leader.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Key responsibilities for the role may include:
School Finances
- Work closely with School Leader to develop and actively manage school budget
- Coordinate between school and Finance on procurement, approving purchases under a specific financial threshold and escalating urgent/critical requests as needed
- Serve as first school-based point of contact regarding finance and work with Central Team to ensure financial compliance and reporting
- Manage information management systems and ensure school is compliant with government and Nova Pioneer expectations
- Manage logistics of student assessments and report cards
- Manage parent and student portals in the information management systems
- Support School Leader with time-tabling
- Manage academic procurement system (textbooks and teaching resources). Be the point person for academic resource procurements, collating requirements for all schools
- Manage the implementation of the dual curriculum, including registration, overseeing working groups, and implementation
- Coordinate with working groups to facilitate regional events planning (Alumni summit, Nova Talks, Shark Tank, NPGT)
- Coordinate with working groups on campus, including the Senior Operations Associate, to facilitate on campus events such as Open days
- Oversee and coordinate the health and safety of the campus
- Oversee the Flex programme and implementation
ABOUT YOU
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- You have served on a school management team in the role of a deputy, assistant principal, dean, or similar
- You have 5+ years working in a school-based environment
- You have a proven track record of holding yourself and your teammates to high standards of operational excellence
- You are very comfortable working with budgets
- You have excellent communication, relationship-building, and people management skills
- You are a thoughtful planner able to multi-task, prioritise effectively, take initiative, and deliver for many stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- You are a proactive, creative, and measured problem-solver. You have an ability to quickly and calmly identify and analyse problems, and to recommend or implement effective solutions
